Guitar

Jef Nielsen is a professional guitarist and educator with over 30 years of experience. He is the owner of Blue Fret, one of the longest standing music schools in Kaysville, Utah.

“From a young age, guitar became my passion, my world, my identity, and my profession. I have spent my life obsessively honing my tones and techniques. I have taught all levels of guitar for 25 years and have owned Blue Fret studio for 15 years. About 18 years ago, I experienced a serious hand injury at one of the heights of my playing ability and band involvement. It was a crushing blow to my world and it's been my goal to push through the injury over the years and continue to increase my skills in spite of it.”
